Who We Are

Winkler Minor Basketball is a volunteer run, not for profit organization that was established over a decade ago. Over the years, our various executives have strived to allow participation and improve development of the sport of basketball for all children, regardless of skill level.  Thousands of children have successfully gone through our program and we are thrilled to see them develop their love and appreciation for the sport, even beyond high school. Many of the athletes have come along side and contributed with our club in the capacity of coach, assistant coach, referee or encouragement toward their siblings and friends. 

We appreciate our relationship with the Winkler and area schools, under the umbrella of the Garden Valley School Division and try to assist in producing the next generation of junior high basketball players. We feel that we also fill the gap in promoting the sport of basketball within an age group that would otherwise have no or limited opportunity for structured play. 

The executive is doing it's best to keep registrations fees low. As a result we welcome any public or corporate sponsorship to keep our finances in great shape.

The executive is excited and hopeful for new opportunities. We have ambitious plans to improve our club and opportunities for basketball athletes.
